Reporting to the Vice President of Development and serving as an integral member of the Development team, this individual is responsible for providing high level donor interface and support to the Vice President for all fundraising matters. This includes responsibility for donor communications, including the drafting and editing of acknowledgment letters, pledge agreements, letters of appeal as well as all solicitation materials, grants, and proposals in general. Serves as the primary interface with high-net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Provides direct support for the solicitation activities of the Vice President.
    • 1.1 Assists in the implementation of prospect cultivation activities and events.
  • 2. Assists with all daily Development team operations
    • 2.1 Assists with the acknowledgement process, including editing and proofreading all documents.
  • 3. Completes all assignments and special projects in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
  • 4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree required.

EXPERIENCE

Two years of Development experience required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge software or comparable software strongly preferred. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to organize and multitask. Interest in learning new computer skills. Strong initiative and exceptional attention to details, communications and able to maintain confidentiality. Sound judgement is essential.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

May be required to work occasional evenings and weekends. Occasional lifting of moderate size boxes. May be asked to assist in bringing boxes with giveaways, supplies, signage etc. to events off-site. Walking and/or taking Shuttle from Development Office to other locations for errands, meetings and Hospital sponsored events.
