Responsibilities:

The Y12 National Security Complex, simply known as Y12, has three primary national security missions that protect our country and our allies around the world. Maintaining the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile, reducing global threats, and fueling the U.S. Navy's nuclear propulsion program are the key activities at this historic site.

As a Projects Control Analyst, you'll coordinate the planning, scheduling, estimating, monitoring, configuration control, analysis, and reporting on multiple projects of varying size, complexity, and level of risk. You'll also interface with project managers, core team members, as well as other functional organizations.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide project managers with tools to keeping projects on track, within budget and within compliance requirements.
  • Plan, develop, monitor, and control project scopes, schedules, cost estimates and risk for projects and tasks.
  • Perform schedule, cost and resource variance analysis.
  • Prepare cost and schedule reports, conduct effective cost and schedule trending processes and provide analysis for use to support corrective actions and produces timely reports for assigned projects.
  • Ensures the data integrity and configuration control for assigned projects.
  • Facilitates internal team communications and meetings.
  • Assists with customer interactions, including tracking project management deliverables and presenting project management status to external or internal customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 to 9 years of direct experience required, or a master's degree with 5 to 9 years of experience.
  • A minimum of 5 yrs experience in Primavera P6 and project controls scheduling experience.
  • Must be eligible for a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance and maintain eligibility throughout duration of employment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening exam.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • High level of proficiency with Primavera P6.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software applications, including Windows, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, and the ability to integrate applications.
  • Knowledge of or experience with project controls practices and principles, including work breakdown structure development, duration management, schedule logic and dependencies, critical path analysis, change control, cost engineering, estimating, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), status reporting, and what-if analysis.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues, strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
  • A DOE security clearance level Q is required; however, all candidates will be considered regardless of current security clearance status.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • This position is full-time (40-hour work week; 4/10 Monday - Thursday).
  • Onsite position at the Y12 facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
