We are one team, working together to get things done. Job Description: Office Location: SCOPE/CONTACTS: Incumbent is in daily contact with customers face-to-face, by telephone and by email. Contact with other professionals is frequent and there is constant contact with interdepartmental personnel. Incumbent will assist in development/retention of fiduciary and investment client relationships. Assists customers with routine problems, account openings and maintenance. Must exercise good customer relations skills at all times. Contacts include customers, prospects, officers and employees, attorneys, accountants, tax offices, insurance agents, and others requesting information concerning trust activities. Results of work are reviewed, and performance is measured against specific goals. Physical effort required is light. Incumbent does not lead or guide other employees. Professional demeanor is a must. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Most important to this position are customer relations, accuracy, speed, attention to numerous and various details, flexibility, judgment, and have a courteous professional demeanor. The position requires mathematical, communication, customer relations, and general business knowledge. A minimum two years' clerical/administrative experience is required. College degree and/or trust/investment experience is preferred. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and typing. 10key by touch is also preferred. Proficiency in grammar and punctuation is also required. Must also be able to handle multiple tasks and work under limited supervision. Will be trained to use the Trust Accounting System. Must be very reliable and have excellent communication skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The incumbent is responsible for answering telephone calls and greeting all customers entering the department and directing each to the proper individual, preparing routine correspondence, and assisting with special projects upon request. Perform administrative duties including making distribution to checking accounts, receiving customers and messages, paying employees of customers and assist customers in accomplishing banking needs in other departments of the Bank, and filing/scanning of daily work & correspondence. Incumbent will be cross trained in image capture processes. Generally, incumbent is expected to assume their share of responsibility under established policies and procedures and plan and carry out details of work. Certain functions are under specific direction of supervisors. Office is a fast pace environment that requires strong multi-tasking. Errors made in this position could result in considerable loss of time, loss of customer confidence, loss of income to account, chargeoff to the Bank or loss of customers.
