Pay rate : $24.62 + $4.57 (health and welfare) per hour

Job Summary

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for a variety of warehousing duties included, but not limited to, verifying materials or merchandise against receiving documents; receives, stores, stacks, or palletizes materials, and removes material from storage and prepares it for shipping.

Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
  • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations
  • Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
  • Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials
  • Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage
  • Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
  • May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties
  • Transport items from the receiving area to the warehouse stocking area.
  • Pull, count, and process product for orders, and verify description and quantities to maintain accurate inventory records.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks and other vehicles delivering supplies/equipment/material
  • Place unloaded items in the designated receiving location for processing
  • Verify shipment description and quantities to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High school diploma or General Development Educational (GED) required.
  • 1 to 2 years experience in warehouse and inventory work preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and good MVR record preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to work with people internally and externally at all levels of an organization.
  • Basic ability to operate a computer using software to track packages and shipments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. The employee will frequently lift or move products and supplies 50 to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
