The County of Marin, California is seeking an experienced Assistant Director for Business Services (Classification: Assistant Director of Public Works - Business Services) to oversee the critical administrative functions within the Public Works Department. As one of four Assistant Directors, this visionary leader is responsible for managing Administrative and General Services for the Public Works Department, including budgeting and accounting, procurement, and Countywide print services and radio communication. The Assistant Director will supervise a direct team of six and a total staff of 48, while overseeing development of the Department's $88 million operating budget. They will prioritize modernizing technology and processes, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, and breaking down organizational silos to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
