Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our Custom Build team at Oxford Instruments. In this role, you will contribute to the build of scientific instrumentation, working on bespoke projects that require fine wiring, soldering, diagnostics, and electrical checks.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conducting electrical wiring tasks, particularly fine wiring within products

* Performing soldering tasks with precision and accuracy

* Conducting diagnostics and electrical checks to ensure product functionality

* Creating and maintaining documentation such as work instructions, process cards, and check sheets for efficient knowledge sharing among technicians

* Undertaking repair work on customer products as required

Requirements:

* Proven experience in electrical wiring, preferably with fine wiring or wiring within a product

* Strong soldering skills and ability to work with intricate components

* Familiarity with diagnostics and electrical checks

* Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation for technical processes

* PCB experience would be advantageous
