Mission Statement

As a Mannington Associate I am expected to conduct myself in a manner which supports the company's values and philosophy, while performing in the best interest of my fellow associates. Job Qualifications and Requirements

The following is a list of job qualifications and requirements for the job.

Topic Qualifications and Requirements

Physical Must be able to operate a lift truck for six (6) hours of an eight (8) hour shift or ten

(10) hours of a twelve (12) hour shift.

Skills ? Must be an experienced Lift Truck Operator.

--> Must be able to use AS400 programs efficiently.

Experience Must be an experienced Lift Truck Operator. ( Fork & Pole )

Responsibility Responsible for meeting the requirements for safety, quality, efficiency,

productivity and housekeeping.

Training ? Required to complete approximately two (2) weeks training under supervision

of qualified associate.

--> Required to obtain certified lift truck operator's license through the

Mannington lift truck training class. Must be re-certified every three (3) years

by Mannington.

Other Overtime is / may be required.

Safety and Security Requirements



  • Required to abide by corporate safety rules and follow all security guidelines. Additional rules are posted in each department as needed.
  • Must report any unsafe activity to direct supervisor.
  • Must wear safety glasses while operating the lift truck or using compressed air.
  • Must wear safety belt while driving lift truck.
  • Watch for pedestrian traffic to avoid accidents.
  • Fill out lift truck check sheet during your shift. This will help reduce mechanical hazards affecting safety and operation of vehicle.
  • Lift trucks are required to drive in reverse while carrying a load to avoid collisions.
  • Make sure shoes are in good repair.
  • Do not "jump" on or off the lift truck. Use the "3 point" climbing technique.
