Job Purpose

Regional Security Services and Technology Administrator provides direction, coordination, and management in the following areas: Technical security operations for U.S. facilities and Security Operations Center(s), Badge and ID operations for designated security operations. SME for the Honda NA security enterprise access control system.

Assist in the management & direction of Corporate Security operations in the United States with locations prescribed by management. Establish short- and long-term goals and objectives, proper utilization of manpower and budget resources. Direct corporate security efforts and operations for AHM, HDMA and other affiliate companies. Manage security vendors through key performance indicators to maintain consistency across AHM/HDMA operations. Support risk mitigation priorities across all national platforms as required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support security operations for assigned Honda facilities including the Security Operations Center, and Badge & I.D. operations. Oversee training programs and assist in the development of companywide security policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall condition, operations, and accountability for all departmental equipment and systems (i.e., Security, CCTV, Life Safety, Visitor Management, Incident Tracking System, radios, phones, etc.) used to provide security services for Honda sites. Manage and oversee the planning, design, and installation of all security/card access, closed circuit television systems, and other support systems at manufacturing facilities, as needed.
  • Plans department projects for security and infrastructure improvements, and oversees paperwork pertaining to purchase requisitions, service contracts, and invoices relevant to Security Technology, National Communications, Electronic, fire/security system Installations, System repair & maintenance. Negotiation and compliance enforcement of contracts.
  • Develop and maintain consistency in security programs for new and existing properties to ensure the protection of associates and company assets.
  • Reports and oversees maintenance and repair issues of security systems and performs routine tests and inspections to ensure functionality. Evaluates and documents all activities and makes changes as needed.
  • With a strong service mindset, identifies and shares security related best practices and opportunities. Works as regional site layout/security measures expert for assigned location(s). Gathers customer sentiment and conveys summary and recommendations to management. Leverage internal and external relationships (i.e.. Honda Cross Functional Leadership and Law Enforcement).

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree desirable or equivalent of 10+ years in the field of Security Management and Administration or equivalent of 10+ years' work experience in the field of security investigations/management.
  • Knowledge in all aspects of Security/Security Management to include proficiency in local/state building codes/regulations and Americans with Disability Act (ADA) requirements with additional training and/or experience in the areas of security management, negotiation, and procurement techniques.
  • Plan and design security/card access, fire life safety, and closed-circuit television systems
  • Milestone XProtect/Lenel Onguard (working knowledge)
  • Internet research/analytic skills
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Travel as needed

Working Conditions

  • Travel required
  • Physically must be able to navigate safely through industrial setting & construction site
  • Work hours vary including weekends & holidays, as required to support business operations
