We're seeking a dedicated Bilingual Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our client's team and contribute to a culture that prioritizes safety, environmental stewardship, and compliance excellence.

Schedule: 8am - 5pm. Monday - Friday

Pay rate: $25 - $30/hr.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop, coordinate, and present EHS training classes, including topics like Forklift Training, Crane Training, HazCom, and LOTO, in a train-the-trainer format.
  • Support department leaders in implementing and executing EHS programs.
  • Conduct periodic site inspections for facilities in California and Texas.
  • Assist in creating written safety programs and translate materials into Spanish as needed.
  • Monitor environmental controls, including hazardous waste disposal, stormwater sampling, and VOCs.
  • Oversee shop inspections, including equipment like cranes, forklifts, and safety stations.
  • Coordinate inspections and audits, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and OSHA compliance assessments.
  • International travel required: Less than 5%. U.S. travel required: Between 5% and 25%


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 2 years of related health and safety experience in general industry or construction.
  • Intermediate in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of environmental, health and safety management practices, principles, and procedures.
  • Must exhibit passion for safety compliance and environmental controls.
  • Preferred: BS degree in EH&S discipline or equivalent Engineering or Science degree.
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish).
