Under general supervision, responsible for all operations and supervise work involved in the Granderson Stadium, Flames Softball, Flames Soccer, Flames Tennis, and the Physical Education Building (Natatorium) for college practices and competitions as well as rentals from outside vendors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Oversee the Physical Education Building and Natatorium Maintenance.
  • Assist with setting up, breakdown, planning, and executing of UIC and outside swimming meets.
  • Manage pool rentals and contracts.
  • Serve as game manager for UIC Volleyball and UIC Softball.
  • Set-up staging for seats, equipment and audio/visual for athletic events and rentals.
  • Set up Fields for practices, competition and rentals.
  • Act as liaison for athletic staff, coaches and external customers for all matters related to the Athletic Fields.
  • Act as liaison to coordinate cleaning and required maintenance of Athletic Sports Facilities as required.
  • Perform facility administration for athletic programs - particularly the Athletic Fields.
  • Assist in daily preventive facility maintenance regarding the Athletic Facilities.
  • Adhere to all University, Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Assist with supervising student-workers, and game day staff.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications Required:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent.
    2. Two (2) years (24 months) of experience in the operation of diesel, electrical, and/or mechanical equipment.
    3. Two (2) years (24 months) of supervisory experience.
