Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Rochester, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The client division is looking for a technically minded, detail-oriented, and improvement-focused Instructional Designer to join our Technical Publications and Multimedia Training Development teams.
  • The Instructional Designer will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to analyze, design, and develop content for internal and external technical training programs.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, factory employees, multimedia, trainers, subject matter experts, and other departments to create training content to meet customer needs
  • Design learning experiences with multiple delivery modes (such as in-person classroom enviorments, virtual classrooms, and eLearning)
  • Write instructional text and instructor notes
  • Develop training courseware, performance support tools, and technical job aides
  • Analyze and incorporate feedback from customers and internal teams to continuously improve trainings
  • Participate in multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as ITAR, EAR, and CUI, when applicable
  • Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in Instructional Design and Learning and Development .

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $40.00/hr.

Hours: 9/80 1st Shift

Length: Temp (12 Months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Instructional Design.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with mechanical and technically complex content
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of prior Instructional Design experience
  • Experience with technical and mechanical complex topics
  • Military Communications Experience
  • Experience in multimedia content development (videos, interactive modules, etc.)
  • Experience with SCORM compliant training and Learning Management Systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of Adult Learning Theory and Design Thinking
  • Enthusiasm for creative problem solving
  • Proven creative approaches to simplify advanced mechanical and technical information
  • Need to have a level of self-directiveness
  • Able to stay organized and on-task
  • Comfortable with relationship building
  • Strong communication skills/able to communicate and work with various SME's

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Ability to travel between office locations within Rochester to collaborate to collaborate with project stakeholders
