The Production Scheduling Manager's responsibilities include coordinating plant activities to meet customer demands and inventory goals. Additionally, this position will ensure that production schedules are meeting customer service requirements and any necessary follow-up inquiries.

1st shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5pm

  • Use the MRP and Finite Production Schedule to develop and execute daily, weekly and monthly production plans:
  • Place orders for product/raw material
  • Track/expedite orders to precisely meet demand while maximizing plant efficiency through finite scheduling
  • Adjust for plant capacity vs. demand
  • Resolve problems related to flow of product through plant
  • Monitor timeliness of Plant shipments
  • Manage ticket printing process
  • Minimize manufacturing backlogs and "past due" items on a weekly basis.
  • Execution of temporary production transfers (excess demands, strikes.)
  • Give guidance to buyers to ensure the needed raw materials, labels, and packaging are on site to execute the published schedule
  • Work with product planning to develop and maintain optimal planning parameters to maximize plant efficiency and ensure site meets service goal.
  • Review daily disservice and remortgage and provide the following: stabilize plan, root cause and corrective action
  • Monitor DSC stock levels via a WFC report weekly
  • Manage J29 and make and ship orders - Establish and maintain a positive, open line of communication with customer service to provide information regarding the status of batches and orders due to ship
  • Review plant sales vs forecast - make suggestions to product planning regarding needed adjustments to the forecast and manufacturing plan.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of work experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility or in an operations environment
  • Must have prior work experience using MRP (Material Resource Planning) and MPS (Material Production Scheduling) systems
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations
  • Have at least 2 years of Management or Supervisory experience in a planning/scheduling/materials role
  • Have at least 1 year of Management or Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Have a APICS Certification
