Vice President Commercial Strategy and Integration

The new nuclear power plant market is both buoyant and dynamic. One of the three key pillars of the Westinghouse strategy is to grow participation in nuclear and adjacent markets with advanced technologies such as APl000, AP300 and Long Duration Energy Storage.

This position is responsible to establish integrated and scalable commercial capabilities and processes to support the growth of the Energy Systems business by building and restructuring the commercial functions within Energy Systems and aligning people and skills sets to our specific strategic needs.

The position will also be responsible to develop business unit, product, and an early-stage opportunity strategies, partner with Energy Systems Business Development & Sales leadership to define capture plans, and direct Energy Systems opportunities through the commercial operations process. This role requires the ability to represent Westinghouse at an executive level with customer leadership, government leadership, and other key stakeholders, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority):

Develop, restructure, and deploy commercial processes as needed to enable the overall Energy System Business Development team to be highly effective and efficient, enabling them to invest more time with customers and prospects.

Direct offer development activities to respond to customer requests for information, requests for proposal and other written requests.

Partner with Business Development & Sales, Contract Management, and Marketing leadership as needed to capture requirements, define strategies, implement improvements and drive continuous forward progress.

Develop and update a 5-year integrated resource plan of all Energy Systems upcoming opportunities incorporating supporting functions impacts (engineering, supply chain, quality, finance, etc.).

Liaise with Energy Systems project teams and across Westinghouse functions and business to implement commercial strategies to progress projects that align with Westinghouse overall goals and objectives.

Lead the development of the Energy Systems strategic plan including product strategy, D&I needs (e.g. energy storage), and related commercial operations prep work for board presentations, monthly operating reviews, quarterly business reviews, StepUp, etc.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.

Drive ongoing improvements in the knowledge, skills, and abilities of our overall commercial operations teams. Develop and implement training programs and materials to accelerate learning and achievement of key objectives.

Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team, providing clear responsibilities, meaningful and actionable feedback, mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:

Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) - Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field, MBA preferred

Years of Experience : 10+ years of management experience with applicable strategic thinking, technical and commercial project development.

* Demonstrated customer relationship building and results orientation

* Demonstrated critical thinking around strategic industry and market trends

* Experience in leading and managing teams, with proven ability to develop and motivate team members towards achieving common goals.

* Ability to communicate and effectively influence a wide range of stakeholders (executive, government, technical, public, etc.) via written, verbal and presentation formats

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets to problem solve

* Experience in working in global, multi-cultural environments

* Willingness to travel internationally to meet company/market needs

* Ability to lead and develop a globally dispersed workforce

* Strong analytical skills, including identification of metrics, automation of data

* Knowledge and experience in the nuclear industry is desirable
