This position is based in Temple, TX, which will require the candidate to report and work from the office on a regular basis. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute commute to Temple, TX.

The Replenishment Manager will oversee Fresh and Supply purchasing for all McLane divisions. Define recommendations and direction related to inventory and service level while promoting company and department initiatives to deliver best in class in stock while developing relationships with new and existing Fresh and Supply partners.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Effectively manage a replenishment team primarily responsible for purchasing Fresh and Supply category inventory while maintaining key performance metrics including in-stock levels, sales compliance, inter-division transfer activity, slow moving inventory, and aged inventory.
  • Manage Fresh and Supply inventory levels and flow of purchase orders to optimize date sensitive product, receiving, storage, picking, and loading operations.
  • Manage a 100% in-stock fill rate on Fresh products while minimizing dating and spoils at Division level.
  • Work with and monitor with McLane Division leadership Fresh product rotation, on-time deliveries and overdue shipments
  • Manage and report on key performance indicators including turn inventory, inbound fill rate, outbound service level and aged inventory.
  • Analyze, develop, implement, and monitor departmental season strategies in collaboration with appropriate replenishment and sales teammates.
  • Work closely with and communicate well with suppliers, brokers, customers, and McLane Retail divisions, to include customer service, sales, accounting, and operations.
  • Support, train and mentor Buyers and Sr Buyers in McLane Fresh program deliverables as well a high in-stock rate on supply items.
  • Work closely with the Manager, Sr Supply & Indirect Procurement Manager and support the company and department initiatives and supply management programs.
  • Function as operational sponsor for assigned divisions.
  • Evaluate suppliers for quality, service and supply of McLane Fresh program products and build relationships to deliver and provide a superior customer experience and further company goals.
  • Report on service issues (investigate and report on service challenges including corrective actions)
  • Work cohesively with department trainer to ensure consistency of process and training that allows for efficient purchasing.
  • Oversee prioritization of supply when needed and provide guidance of resolution of escalations.
  • Assist team in aligning VMI activities appropriately with department goals and strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 or more years of procurement experience preferred.
  • Fresh or Food Service buying/procurement experience (3+ years at a minimum) preferred, to include packaging, compliance & retail execution.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and bring innovative ideas to the table.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with manufacturers, customers, and attend industry events.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
