Provide positive and effective services for children with mental health disorders. Observe patient behaviors, record observations, and lead them in therapeutic and recreational activities. Consult with doctors and other mental health professionals as part of the treatment team. Assist in implementing treatment plan interventions. Defuse and report crises and intervene where appropriate. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by assisting with groups. Qualifications: High school diploma/GED or and Associate Degree in Mental Health Technology or a related field. American Heart Association or Healthcare Provider CPR certification or American Red Cross Professional Rescue is required within thirty days of hire. Formal training in the management of aggressive patients is required within 60 days of hire. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
