The Opportunity:

The Director of Donor Impact will lead the strategy and execution of meaningful, high-quality stewardship and impact initiatives that strengthen donor relationships and inspire continued philanthropic support. Collaborating across UCF's campuses and with external partners, this role is integral to expressing gratitude, showcasing impact, and creating innovative recognition experiences for donors.

Responsibilities:

Lead a Team:

  • Manage and coach a team responsible for developing broad-based and personalized stewardship touchpoints for top donors and prospective donors.

Create Communication Strategies:


  • Develop and oversee multi-channel stewardship communication plans for donors at all giving levels.

  • Assist development staff with personalized stewardship touches.


Innovate Donor Recognition Programs:


  • Build and oversee programs to thank and steward donors, ensuring timely reporting on endowments and impact.

  • Collaborate with ITS to enhance reporting capabilities.


Collaborate on Events:

  • Work closely with the Events and Experiences team to design opportunities that celebrate donor impact across UCF.

Supervise and Develop Talent:

  • Lead personnel actions including hiring, training, performance reviews, and day-to-day supervision to foster a high-performing donor impact team.

Foster Best Practices:

  • Partner with colleagues across campus to establish and maintain best practices in donor stewardship and recognition.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Familiarity with donor reporting and impact evaluation tools, ideally within a higher education or nonprofit setting.

  • Experience with fundraising and stewardship CRMs such as Blackbaud CRM, Raiser's Edge NXT, A20, Salesforce, etc.

  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.

  • Success in designing and executing donor recognition programs or stewardship strategies.

  • Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Expertise in creating multi-channel communication strategies, including digital and print media.

  • Creative problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
