Wieland is hiring a 3rd shift Production Supervisor. The 3rd shift Production Supervisor will be responsible for all shop floor operations in the Production Departments. Accountability includes personnel safety, performance, motivation, and reporting. They are also required to ensure that all quality and environmental standards are met. This role is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site.

3rd shift Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

Responsible for a safe and organized shop floor, smooth & timely order flow, efficiency and productivity, and allocation of personnel to continuously improve on-time shipment performance (reduce lead times and elimination of overtime).
• Lead and coordinate the continuous improvement process in the department and on the shop floor.
• Manage personnel: motivation and team building, attendance tracking, hiring, and firing, disciplinary actions, create and update job descriptions, link between management and shop floor.
• Lead, coordinate, and document all employee training with a strong focus on cross-training.
• Responsible for the approval, update, documentation and enforcement of all work instructions and standard operating procedure for all production employees.
• Responsible for 2nd line troubleshooting for all manufacturing processes and for 5S and LPMS improvements.

3rd shift Production Supervisor Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering is a plus.
• Experience in LEAN or Six Sigma - Green Belt certification.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage performance, and foster collaboration between different departments.
• Proficiency in managing multiple projects ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
• Demonstrate high performance and commitment to continuous improvement.
