As the Public Information Representative working with our campus environments and facility departments, you'll be pivotal in shaping how we engage diverse audiences through impactful storytelling and campaigns, innovative website management, and effective communication strategies. This position offers the opportunity to craft narratives that celebrate campus environments, sustainability initiatives, facilities management, and groundbreaking construction projects at The University of New Mexico. In this exciting role, you'll manage and deliver timely, accurate communications across multiple platforms, amplifying the efforts of a division dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You'll also play a vital role in coordinating and disseminating urgent and emergency communications, ensuring that essential information reaches the right audiences during critical situations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications * A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field, with at least two years of directly related experience. * Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), with additional experience in tools like Lightroom or Premiere as a plus. * Experience managing web content through a Content Management System (Cascade preferred). Training will be provided if needed. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and solve problems creatively. * Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across diverse teams and external organizations. * Experience in managing time-sensitive or urgent communication situations with clarity and efficiency. * A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a passion for sharing impactful stories.
