Job Summary/Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer- Assembly is an essential position on the plant operations team and will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing assembly operations for engineered-to-order hoists and cranes. This role involves ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Engineer must also ensure equipment and tooling are developed and maintained per engineering and customer specifications. This position also must create and update routings through time studies to support the plant master production schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assembly Operations: Oversee the assembly of hoists and cranes, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and quality standards. Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to assembly teams, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth operations. Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations. Project Management: Manage projects related to assembly operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes, procedures, and quality control measures. Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering changes and new product introductions. Safety Compliance: Ensure all assembly operations comply with safety regulations and company policies. Help to facilitate and promote safety throughout the facility.
