What part will you play? The Event Production Manager will provide global event production both in and outside of client locations, specifically targeting executive support. This opportunity will be responsible for technical coordination at client locations including but not limited to auditoriums, boardrooms, and conference centers. This role will coordinate the run-of-show from a creative and technical production perspective required to deliver the client's specific messages. Function as a leader and member of a high-performance team and be able to perform at a high level, within a live production environment. The team will produce corporate webcasts, podcasts, town halls and other major internal communications events. This position requires the ability to collaborate closely with executives at the highest level and manage complex requests. What will you be doing?
- Main point of contact for resource coordination, cost estimates, and vetting proposals for resourcing productions necessary for successful execution of client broadcast events.
- Ability to request and communicate within meeting and presentation requirements for discussion to client for approval.
- In partnership with client teams, this person is the technical advisor and scheduler of resources and equipment needed for the successful delivery of event requirements.
- Technical advisor for delivery of technological solutions that will creatively and effectively execute messaging for internal studio teams, corporate communications, and external audiences.
- Awareness and ability to consult on current and upcoming advancements in technology in the following areas: broadcasting, webcasting/livestreaming, video conferencing, PTP (peer-to-peer) communications.
- Responsible for coordinating event staff, equipment, and security end to end.
- Work with the client to develop the run-of-show and also consult with the client and/or external vendors on content such as scripts, videos, graphics (still and motion) to deliver webcasts, events, and on-demand video content.
- Direct live production and ensure delivery through VOD, live distribution, and asset media management.
- Hire and manage 3rd party production team for flawless event execution.
- Provide client post-production analytics of webcasts, live events, or video projects.
- Work with supplier to ensure proper use cases, testing, and implementation of streaming encoding, and network protocol for platform.
- Work with 3rd party product vendor to determine overall solutions and impact to system changes and fixes, as required.
- Establish and enforce procedures to keep video streaming/webcast systems in acceptable working order.
- Duties monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation, and technical documentation for overall operations of the webcast streaming system.
- Have a working knowledge of other event production webcast streaming roles to fill these positions as needed.
- Location: DTLA office
- Travel will be required, up to 30% as needed
What do we require from you? Required Qualifications of the Event Production Manager:
- Four-year degree in related, Communications, Media, Live Events, Broadcast Production or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in Post-Editorial Production, Studio Broadcast Production, Live Event, Field Shoot/Field Production.
Preferred Qualifications of the Event Production Manager:
- Superior leadership, collaboration and creative skills
- Complete understanding of all aspects of video live production.
- Ability to judge creative concepts and copy, and clearly receive and communicate creative direction to/from others
- Excellent communication, planning, time-man
