Position Summary:

Preparing accurate flight plans and flight packages for Trip Support clients in addition to assisting in daily operations and tasks within Trip Support Services division. Under general direction, maximize international trip support service and customer relations with new and existing clients, providing superior customer service and communicating all of WFS | Colt's products and services to WFS | Colt's existing or new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Computing and preparing flight plans for upcoming trips
  • Coordinating with meteorology team to receive information to help determine potential hazards to flight safety and determine proper routings
  • Using advanced knowledge of flight planning in preparing the flight plans and packages for upcoming trips
  • Ensuring flight packages are delivered to the proper emails, faxes, or both in a timely manner
  • Confirming receipt of flight packages with the client, the handler, and/or the hotel
  • Loading aircraft into Navtech or other flight planning system(s)
  • Building routes in Navtech or other flight planning system(s)
  • Able to provide expert level of support and consultation to Colt customers
  • Responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations requirements such as but not limited to the following when demand dictates:
  • Arranging ground handling, permits, customs services, hotels, and transportation
  • Loading Trip Cost Estimates into Falcon
  • Assisting with fuel quotes and/or arrangements after normal business hours
  • Quality assurance for their "owned" trips
  • Part of the operations phone and communications rotation responsible for assisting with all incoming phone, fax, email, and SITA/AFTN traffic
  • Must have a firm knowledge of Colt's products and services and be able to effectively market them to customers
  • Will maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations and negotiations
  • Will market, communicate, and sell all of Colt's products and services to existing and prospective Colt customers
  • Perform other duties as directed that are directly related to the management or general business operations
  • Helps other employees to accomplish Colt company goals
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor
  • Working Hours: as determined by the Sr Director Global Operations

INFORMATION PROCESSING:

Receive information from Airports, NOTAMS, FAA memos, and other regulatory sources to ensure all flight plans are computed based on most current data.

Receive information from Airports, NOTAMS, FAA memos, and other regulatory sources to develop flight routes and plans.

  • Responsible for loading and maintaining trips in the Falcon system
  • Assisting with trips for the general client base which includes but is not limited to the following arrangements:
  • Ground handling, Operational permits, slots, and PPR's, Flight following
  • Customs services including customs arrangements, Canpass form preparation and submission and arrangement of Border Overflight Exemptions.
  • Part of the operations phone and communications rotation responsible for assisting with all incoming phone, fax, email, and SITA/AFTN traffic
  • Information may be received via phone, email, or fax in a non-standard format
  • Information is received from multiple sources.
  • Responsible for reporting service issues and initiating resolutions

Education:

High School graduation or equivalent (GED or other certificate)

Bachelor's Degree (BS, BA, etc.) preferred

Must have either the educational requirements or the equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in the aviation industry
  • Proven customer loyalty and following through strong customer management skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail is a requirement of the position.
  • Complete understanding of all aspects of the industry, products and services.

% of Travel Required:

None or Some - Infrequent travel of short to moderate duration; typically does not include remote or hazardous locations; typically travel is to planned events or meetings.
