We're an award-winning IT solutions provider to the Federal government seeking a Senior Technical Manager to join our team.

US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

This hybrid position will initially require 2 days of client-site work weekly, but the onsite requirement could potentially change to daily. Applicants must reside within a commutable distance of Washington, D.C.

In this position, you will lead a team that supports overall project performance, including cost, schedule, deliverables, and contractual compliance. By working closely with the CTO, CIO, and Program Manager, this role helps to drive organizational strategy, align teams, and deliver on multiple interconnected projects. You will collaborate with the Program Manager and customer to initiate successful programs that drive strategic benefits and organizational growth. You will define and oversee a list of dependent projects needed to reach the program's overall goals, consulting and coordinating with the Program Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provides systemic leadership to a cross-functional team responsible for various tasks that support the contract holistically.
  • Responsible for strategic planning, workforce planning and management, policy and standards development, contract deliverables and status, communications management, and knowledge management in coordination with management.
  • Provides expert assistance, advice, and counsel to the CTO, CIO, and other program and policy officials in collaboration with the Program Manager and other team members as required.
  • Applies analytical, innovative processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations utilizing automation to increase efficiency, where possible.
  • Directs special projects and studies related to the planning, evaluation, proposal, and integration of policies, programs, and operations that cross divisional lines in support of organizational IT integration.
  • Support our client's technical interests in the effective utilization of resources and avoidance of duplicate and redundant systems and services across the division.
  • Champions Agile methodology and facilitates Agile ceremonies as needed.
  • Participates in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.


REQUIRED SKILLS:



  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management / leadership experience
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skillset; ability to apply technical solutions to broad, complex problems
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • Experience reporting to and building relationships with project & program management and Stakeholders
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent writing skills
  • Have the political savvy to know how to phrase issues to reassure rather than overwhelm clients
  • Demonstrates creativity and responsibility in all tasks without waiting for direction from others


PREFERRED SKILLS:



  • Current PMP certification
  • Comfortable with using automation (e.g. Atlassian, AI, low code,etc.) to improve organizational processes.


EDUCATION:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline preferred
