Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor position is a Management Team position. The Production Supervisor will ensure that all functions of the production department personnel, including Leads and Machine Operators are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and that personnel are given the tools and training necessary. The Production Supervisor will also serve as a Facility Food Safety Team Member.

JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Note: The job functions relate to the job, not the individual)



  • Maintain a safe working environment for employees.
  • Ensure production employees are trained and following all plant and safety, Food Safety, GMP and sanitation regulations.
  • Will be an active member of the Management Team and work closely with all members to develop best practices for the facility.
  • Will be an active member of the Food Safety Team, which includes staying up to date with food safety training.
  • Will be key member of the facility audit team.
  • Will promote and actively demonstrate continuous improvement within the facility.
  • Will develop an annual budget for department.
  • Maintain high safety standards, conduct audits, enforce safety policies, and ensure PPE is used.
  • Will prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments and directly supervise the production and other department personnel to maximize the manufacture of company products at the lowest possible cost within the standards of quality, meeting customer delivery requirements and specifications.
  • Monitor all processes and equipment to ensure the optimum level of productivity and efficiency. Recommend measures to improve production and distribution methods, equipment performance and product quality.
  • Address and resolve equipment, tool, process and personnel issues to ensure the highest level of quality and productivity.
  • Follow and enforce all Wis-Pak policies and procedures.
  • Provide all training necessary to personnel to operate efficiently
  • Manage department personnel, assign tasks, and set work schedules.
  • Keep records and procedures up to date.
  • Conduct meetings as needed and participate in facility meetings.
  • Assist and communicate professionally with other departments.
  • Must be able and willing to travel as needed and attend external training.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have 1 year beverage experience.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5-7 years of experience and/or an associate's degree from a 2 year college or technical school with general business or management courses.
  • Must possess good people skills.
  • Possess good skills, in math, verbal and written communication.
