School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures Job Description
The School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (SLLC) at the University of Missouri-Columbia invites applications for one full-time Instructor in Russian beginning in Fall 2025. This is a one-year position with the possibility of annual renewals. Teaching responsibilities include 1st-3rd year Russian language; other courses may include Russian, East European, or Central Asian culture or film, depending on candidate's strengths and departmental need. Candidates with a PhD in Russian are highly encouraged to apply. Qualifications
An MA in Russian is required by the time of appointment. Native or near-native fluency in Russian and English is also required. Candidates will be evaluated on their experience and success teaching both in person and online. Application Materials
