Corporate Accountant

Position Summary:

Advocates and supports Parker's Win Strategy as a member of the Corporate Accounting Department. Assists in the monthly consolidation and reporting of all Parker divisions and subsidiary financial statements in accordance with Company policies and generally accepted accounting principles.

Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:

This position has no direct reports.
Assists other department staff with their responsibilities. Provides technical accounting advice to global divisions, groups and corporate personnel and external auditors.

Essential Functions:

* Applies subject matter knowledge to prepare certain corporate ledger and consolidation system journal entries of moderate to advanced complexity with limited supervision.
* Applies subject matter knowledge to prepare financial reports/analyses for management and/or department use.
* Responsible for the accounting for certain subsidiary legal entities.
* Assist Corporate Consolidations Manager with consolidation system admin as required.
* Apply thorough knowledge of accounting to identify and initiate process improvements.
* Assists with identifying potential issues and address them with managers for appropriate resolution.

* Assists with Lease and Fixed Asset Accounting
