DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

Globally develop alternative sourcing while overseeing the Sourcing team to meet overall organizational goals and objectives



RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

*Oversee the United States-based sourcing team and globally develop alternative sourcing through strategic negotiations, relationship-building, and cost analysis while ensuring quality

*Frequent travel to domestic and international contract manufacturers for supplier selection, development and management

*Drive strategic supplier selection, development, and management to ensure business strategies are met

*Develop new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners and suppliers that meet Pride's established standards and requirements

*Coordinate with Research & Development (R&D) and other internal departments to ensure new products and component launches meet or exceed all established timelines

*Provide tactical and operational direction to the organization to support cost effective manufacturing strategies

*Source finished goods products that strategically align with the company's product portfolio

*Analyze, track and make recommendations during the quoting process for all parts and products

*Negotiate and manage tooling quotations from OEM partners and new suppliers

*Ensure the timely implementation of components transferred to new suppliers to maximize cost savings

*Effectively communicate with Executive Leadership and form strong business relationships with all suppliers

*Ensure compliance and advocate for Pride Mobility Products/Quantum Rehab Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action placement and utilization goals and hiring benchmarks through non-discriminatory employment practices across your Area of Responsibility (AOR)

*Staff management including documenting and communicating objectives, positively impacting employee morale, motivating team members, conducting performance appraisals, and appropriately addressing individual or group performance issues

*Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

*Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training

*Assign, train, and develop staff based on experience and departmental goals

*Develop goals and objectives, and measure outcomes to ensure goals are met

*Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

*Develop a "Strong 2nd" for your area of responsibility

*Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

*Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary



REQUIRED SKILLS

*Must be a team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:

*Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

*Guide, direct, and motivate staff

*Travel up to 25% globally for 10 days at a time based on business needs

Must have:

*Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

*Excellent negotiating and relationship-building skills

*Excellent analytical, financial planning, and mathematic skills

*Demonstrated good business judgment

*Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills

*Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel



PREFERRED SKILLS

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese Mandarin/Cantonese and English preferred

*Basic working knowledge of Lean Principles and Lean Manufacturing preferred

*Intermediate working knowledge of Oracle and/or Agile preferred

*Active member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), demonstrating overall advancement in the Quality field preferred

*Advanced skills in advanced production quality planning preferred

*Lift/push/pull 25lbs preferred



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 5 years of combined strategic sourcing management and procurement experience in a manufacturing environment

*At least 3 years of experience working with international manufacturing suppliers



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 7 years of combined strategic sourcing, procurement and/or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

*At least 2 years of experience with managing at least 1 staff member preferred



REQUIRED EDUCATION

*Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related field



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
