School of Natural Resources Job Description
This role resides in the University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry and will have four primary duties: (1) Provide technical support to pecan growers on best management practices, cultivar recommendations, plant material sourcing (30% of time); (2) facilitate a grower-incentive program for pecan adoption (30%); (3) establish and manage pecan demonstrations and trials at the Horticultural and Agroforestry Research Farm (30% of time); (4) assist Center for Agroforestry team with overall activities at the Horticultural and Agroforestry Research Farm. Shift
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
BS degree in agriculture or related field. Experience in farm management, including in a research setting, and equipment use. Comfortability speaking general and technical language to an agriculture audience. Willingness to travel (within Missouri) up to 30% of time; seasonally travel out of state. Anticipated Hiring Range
