Chaplain Staff - WCMC Spiritual Care - Per Diem - Variable Shift

Education:

• Master's Degree Theological Studies - Required

• College Level Coursework ACPE - Clinical Pastoral Education (4 Units) - Required

Experience:

• 5 years Healthcare - Spiritual Care Preferred and/or

• Healthcare - Chaplaincy Preferred

Additional Experience:

• Experience in Hospital ministry.

Certifications/Licensures:

• APC - Association of Professional Chaplains Achieved prior to or within 18 months of hire and/or

• Ordination in Recognized Faith Group and/or

• Faith Group Endorsement

Skills:

• Sensitivity to diverse religious and cultural practices and values

• Maintains professional and personal integrity

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

• Pastoral skills

• Excellent communication

• Consult with and cooperate with the healthcare team in the delivery of patient-centered care

• Maintain a positive working relationship between the Spiritual care department and the interdisciplinary staff team

• Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Director, Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Supervisor, CPE students, patients, families, staff, volunteers, and the general public

• Adheres to the John Muir Health and departmental policies and procedures regarding sick time, attendance, rest and meal periods, dress code, safety, etc
