Must have the flexibility to work at the downtown Chicago, IL, location for major meetings, etc.)
First 2 weeks mandatory onsite for training and there after 2-3 days/week

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in financial forecasting, hardware upgrades, and stakeholder management. This role requires a proactive individual capable of driving conversations, ensuring deliverables, and managing both operational and capital expense projects effectively. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VOIP, routers, switches upgrades, and budget development and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple projects, focusing on hardware upgrades, including VOIP systems, routers, and switches.
- Develop, implement, and roll out budgets while ensuring accurate financial forecasting for projects.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including real estate, networking, and operations teams, to align project deliverables.
- Conduct Monday huddle calls to set weekly priorities and Thursday status calls to address concerns and share updates.
- Allocate 60-70% of time to project follow-up, execution, and stakeholder communication, and 30% to documentation and reporting.
- Drive conversations with stakeholders, provide regular updates, and follow through on all project commitments.
- Manage operational and capital expenses while ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.
- Provide status updates to stakeholders and escalate concerns as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management with a focus on hardware upgrades (VOIP, routers, and switches).
- Strong expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and operational expense management.
- Hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and rolling out budgets and forecasts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar tools is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities with a keen focus on deliverables and timelines.
- Consistent tenure in previous roles (minimum 6+ months per contract).
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of networking and real estate partnerships is highly desirable.
- Experience in operational expense and capital expense projects.
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
