About the position: As a Start Up Foreman for Piedmont Service Group, you will be responsible for wiring-up, starting- up, trouble shooting, repairing, and installing commercial HVAC and related equipment. Read and understand mechanical blueprints and specifications Read and understand technical manuals and manufacturers installation, operation and maintenance manuals Perform control wiring installation for HVAC equipment Installing accessories for various HVAC pieces of equipment Understanding the operation of HVAC equipment in order to perform a proper start up Maintain proper start up documentation as it relates to each start up Following all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE Flexibility to work extended shifts (e.g., early mornings and late nights) Work Hours: Hours are typically 7am-3:30pm Benefits: Medical Vision Dental Company Paid Short and Long Term Disability Company Paid Life Insurance FSA 401k with Company Match and Profit-Sharing Plan Accident and Critical Illness Three weeks of Paid Time Off in your first year of hire Paid Holidays Wellness Incentives Qualifications preferred for job candidates: Be able to understand all parts of mechanical equipment for HVAC systems and their designed purpose and methods of proper operation A minimum of three years of experience of Commercial HVAC start up work. Valid NC drivers' license CFC certification. (Universal or Type II) or willingness to obtain Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to work on ladders, elevated platforms, boom lifts and scaffolding Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Strong communication and documentation skill Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment
