The Solutions Director is accountable for (1) assessing ideas (i.e., requests for technology solutions) submitted by the business for the appropriate level of detail and to determine the proper delivery channel (i.e., transformation versus strategic versus run-the-business), (2) facilitating business case conversations with senior leadership to evolve Medica's ability to meet the needs of constituents with clear documentation of the vision, costs, and expected outcomes as well as serving as a consultative, strategic partner to support leaders in development of strategy, (3) facilitating prioritization and sequencing of strategic initiatives to achieve committed outcomes with senior leadership, and (4) maintaining of five-year, enterprise-wide strategic roadmap and negotiate trade-offs in alignment with revised vision and enterprise priorities. In addition, the Solutions Director is an organizational subject-matter expert as it pertains to strategic implementation of complex initiatives, advising implementation teams on approach and sequencing for implementation as needed. Success as a Solutions Director will be heavily dependent upon establishing positive working relationships with senior leaders (i.e., Director and above), as well as acting as a liaison between those setting the strategy and those putting it into action by acting as in internal expert and leadership voice for the present and future of Medica's capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS:



  • Minimum education level required to qualify for the position - Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, consulting, and/or business operations


Experience:



  • Cross-functional leadership on multi-million-dollar programs
  • Experience applying business architecture and/or consulting approaches and methodologies at an enterprise level
  • Ability to apply change management principles to enact deliver of enterprise strategy
  • Experience leading change in a matrixed organization
  • Deep knowledge of relevant Medica capabilities preferred
  • Leadership in a mission-driven organization preferred
  • Broad experience working within a Health Insurance Payor preferred

  • Combination of logical, deductive, and inductive reasoning skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to reach varied audience levels - executive, senior leaders, technical delivery teams, and operational staff
  • Possess a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, ecosystem dynamics, and key stakeholders' needs and priorities
  • Connecting needs and concerns of people, process, technology, and information across an enterprise
  • Ability to adapt and collaboratively work with stakeholders of various levels throughout the organization
  • Self-starter who can thrive in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to build data driven business cases to inform decision making



This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office - Minnetonka, MN, Madison, WI - for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.

The full salary range for this position is $127,800 - $219,000. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
