Job Summary: The Management Consultant - Cybersecurity will support our federal customer in managing a grant program aimed at the development and execution of state and local cybersecurity strategies. This position will manage SharePoint organizational tasks, including the development of repeatable business management processes. The position will also provide support for reviewing grant application materials and other documentation, tracking program insights, and reviewing and archiving contract deliverables in SharePoint. Job duties will also include identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvement initiatives to streamline and standardize contracting activities.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage project SharePoint sites and maintain project documentation
  • Create new SharePoint pages to share information and create/manage views, columns, etc.
  • Review grant application materials to confirm state/territory compliance
  • Review and analyze state and local cybersecurity strategic plans for trends, strengths and weakness
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new project processes or update/improve current processes.
  • Write standard operating procedures for state meetings, client taskers, etc.
  • Provide clients with insights regarding strategic plans, projects, etc.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, business, public policy or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in management consulting
  • Experience supporting projects with organizing and tracking review of documents
  • Experience assisting in developing briefings, analyzing trends in large information sets, and providing basic recommendations on business processes and workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, pivot tables, charts, advanced formulas, etc.
  • Ability to understand complex cybersecurity program policies/plans/directives, and then apply knowledge to project activities
  • Demonstrated proficiency or ability to quickly learn to use information and communication/collaboration technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, PowerBI/Tableau, and SharePoint/OneDrive to evaluate, create, store, and communicate information.
  • Experience contributing to oral discussions, presenting project status, and proposing solutions to managers or clients.
  • Ability to attain a U.S. government public trust and/or security clearance, if required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Existing DHS or CISA Entry on Duty (EOD) status
  • Significant experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Confluence, and Power BI/Tableau
  • Experience or interest in homeland security, cybersecurity/IT programs, federal grants
  • Experience using project management tools to improve workflows and business processes
  • Experience communicating or partnering with state, local, tribal, and territorial governments


Location: Hybrid or Arlington, VA

Federal Contracts: This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
