Coder Coding Specialist - Allergy and Asthma Center of NC - High Point

The Coder Coding Specialist is responsible for providing coding and billing support and assisting physicians, management, support staff, and administration. This role identifies possible revenue opportunities and codes office, hospital, nursing home, surgery, and/or procedures as directed for specific practices.

Talent Pool: Corporate Services/Professional


Assists accounts receivable department with coding questions.
Assists in the development and delivery of one-on-one and group education/training classes.
Audits office charges for specified practices to evaluate a provider's understanding of American Medical Association (AMA)/Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) documentation guidelines.
Documents findings from the review and provides written report to Coding Support Manager.
Attends educational sessions and reads publications to stay up to date on changes regarding AMA and CMS documentation guidelines.
Notifies Compliance department of any compliance violations that are discovered during the review process.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1-2 years
