Position Overview:

Assists laboratory personnel with the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including cleaning and stocking the laboratory. Ensures that all areas identified as Principal Responsibilities are accomplished in an efficient, professional manner.

Responsibilities:



  • Complete daily inventory of media and microbiological materials, and adequately stock all areas of the laboratory.
  • Discard completed microbiological samples and maintain the isolate retention area.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in the cleanrooms and laboratory, including assigned monthly cleaning.
  • Ensure scrubs and lab coats are washed and laundry room is maintained.
  • Complete maintenance of autoclaved and depyrogenated materials.
  • Effectively complete "other" functions that may be assigned.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, able to follow instructions.
  • Must have good communication skills (written and oral).
  • Capable of working without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to maintain a high activity level and be able to effectively manage and prioritize numerous projects and responsibilities.


This is a Part-Time position: Monday - Friday, 7AM - 12PM (flexible)
