Description
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Health Physics Technician to work in our Radiological Controls Operations department. Our team works a 4x10 (schedule options may vary between 4-10's, 4-12's, 5x5x4, or rotating shift schedule) located out of our MFC facility with every Friday off. You will report to Radiological Control Fields Manager. You will perform routine and special radiological control surveys of areas, materials, and personnel. Monitor shipments, disposal, and/or storage of radioactive materials. Calculate amount of time personnel may be safely exposed to radiation. Calibrate and maintain adequate inventories of portable and/or fixed radiation monitoring and personnel protective equipment. Review design, procurement, and/or work authorization documents for accuracy and completeness concerning safety requirements. Identify potential problem areas and apply necessary corrective measures. Perform material/fabrication/installation inspections to verify safety requirements are met. Responsibilities Include:
