Responsibilities

Providence Medical Center (PMC) is looking for a per diem Occupational Therapist (OT) to be a part of our growing Inpatient Acute Care team. As our new Occupational Therapist (OT), you will:

  • our therapists see a variety of patient diagnoses that include orthopedic, neurologic and lymphedema
  • provide prescribed consultative and therapeutic services in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders
  • function according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team
  • therapy for occupations, performance patterns, performance skills, environment and context
  • perform responsibilities in accordance with department and hospital policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519
  • availability to help cover our acute hospital patient caseload
  • Occupational Therapist (OT) to who can cover one 8 hour shift on Saturday and one 4 hour shift on Sunday (1 - 2 weekend days per month): days do not have to be on the same weekend, and able to participate in a holiday rotation schedule

  • weekday hours are also available

  • one year of inpatient hospital experience is preferred

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • current state Occupational Therapy certification/license
  • one year of inpatient hospital experience, preferred
  • current BLS (AHA) certificate
  • National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC, preferred
