EPI Power is seeking an experienced electrician to join our prefabrication team. This skilled and innovative Prefabrication Detailer will play a critical role in optimizing design and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality prefabricated electrical assemblies. This role will drive innovation in our prefabrication operations and will support our mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions for electrical construction projects.

What You'll Do:



  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to develop and implement prefabrication strategies that align with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) principles
  • Review electrical designs and provide feedback to optimize for manufacturability and assembly
  • Create detailed manufacturing instructions, technical drawings, and specifications for prefabricated components
  • Utilize 3D modeling software to develop and refine prefab designs and manufacturing workflows
  • Work closely with the prefab shop team to streamline assembly processes and improve workflow efficiency
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within the prefabrication process
  • Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations
  • Analyze project requirements and develop customized prefab solutions to meet specific project needs
  • Research and integrate new technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance prefab capabilities
  • Provide training and technical support to shop personnel


  • Monitor production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives



What We're Looking For:



  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience as an electrician, electrical technician, or in a related role required
    • Experience in prefabrication or manufacturing environments required
    • Background in electrical or manufacturing engineering highly preferred
    • Experience with DFMA principles and practices in electrical systems desired


  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma principles
    • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing, CNC machining, and/or robotics
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
    • Analytical with high level of problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of virtual design and construction (VDC) workflows is a plus


  • Technology:

    • Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
    • Proficient in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, OnShape, or similar tools
    • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCad, Revit) and manufacturing tools
