Payroll Administrator:

Position Type: Part time with potential for extra hours depending on workload

Position Overview:

As the Payroll Administrator, you will ensure that the organizations bi-weekly processing of payroll is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with all government regulations. You will assist employees who experience problems with their pay or need to make changes or adjustments to their taxes, withholding or personal information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

* Weekly processing of bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employee's using current payroll software (ADP Workforce Now);

* Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee's hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information;

* Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions;

* Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge;

* Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits;

Required Skills and Experience:

* Must be at least 18 years old;

* Associates degree in accounting or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience;

* Strong customer service skills;

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software;

* Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software;

* Maintain and treat all information as confidential;

* Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;

* Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;

* Must be able to verbally direct in English;

* Ability to maintain accuracy, meet deadlines, detail oriented, organized and able to prioritize effectively.

Work Environment:

* Indoor office environment with the potential of remaining seated for extended periods of time;

* Continuous use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.

Physical Demands:

* Position may require the ability to carry, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds;

* Must operate office equipment as needed.
