Electrical Designer/Technician

Summary
Fishbeck has an exciting opportunity for a creative and talented designer/technician in our Electrical Department. This position requires self-motivation, commitment to detail, excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to work with other staff in a project team environment.
Primary Functions
- Work closely with technical staff from all Fishbeck offices to assist in providing consulting services for electrical, lighting, and building systems design for municipal, water/wastewater, university, industrial, retail, and commercial facilities.
- Interact daily with multi-disciplinary and multi-office teams within Fishbeck and with other consultants to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
- Set up models and drawings, manage graphics associated with project deliverables, and coordinate the printing/plotting document distribution process.
- Assist others, as necessary, to maintain and update department standards, details, and associated graphics related to BIM/Revit and AutoCAD.
- Learn future software upgrades and continue to refine personal and professional skill sets.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Exposed to occasional lifting and carrying. Will have normal office working conditions and be required to sit and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and maneuvering around project sites for attending client and project meetings and site observations. Able to use various technical equipment for communication and documentation. Visual acuity necessary to perform responsibilities
Desired Education
Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience
Desired Major
Technical courses in Revit or AutoCAD products
Desired Skills/Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience in producing electrical drawings using Revit/BIM and AutoCAD.
- Interest in design and coordinating with multiple departments to complete a multidiscipline project.
- Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam is beneficial.
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
