Purpose: The Vehicle Power Electronics Research Group in Buildings and Transportation Science Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking applicants for a Technical Professional Staff Position to support the power electronics and electric machinery research at the National Transportation Research Center located at the ORNL Hardin Valley Campus. The successful candidate is expected to support the design, development, fabrication, and assembly of experimental test setups involving power electronic converters including dc/dc converters, inverters, and rectifiers, electromagnetic field transmitters and receivers along with their mechanical support structures and liquid cooling systems, and electric motors. This person will closely work with other technical professionals and researchers at the group. Major Duties / Responsibilities:
