THE VALUE YOU'LL BRING:

The Billing Supervisor will lead the Smithfield Accounts Receivable Billing Team in overseeing and resolving billing errors, monthly close, reporting, and researching invoicing issues.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the Billing Coordinators to successfully:

  • Resolve billing issues in relations to pricing, quantities, and weight discrepancies.

  • Manage open credit memos and overpayments compliant with KPI targets.

  • Run, monitor, and analyze daily reports.

  • Complete month-end close tasks and reports.

  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external parties on issue identification and resolution.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Business, Accounting or related field and 3+ years of Credit or Accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a position of leadership to include team development and management, preferred.

  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skill set.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Teams; SAP; High Radius; Blacksmith; Tibersoft; Laserfiche; Korber.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform managerial responsibilities in accordance with Smithfield policies and role responsibilities.

  • Perform mid-year and annual reviews building on successes and developing areas of opportunity.

  • Drive positive organizational change and retain human capital talent through effective career development and succession planning.

  • Support DE&I initiatives, promoting an engaging and appreciative workplace.

  • Foster and instill team member confidence, pride in work, empowerment, and strategic thinking.

  • Develop training tools, job aids, manuals and reference documents to heighten understanding and appreciation of the end-to-end order-to-cash process.

  • Participate in the interviewing and hiring process as needed.

  • Manage the retention of required documentation for audit purposes.

  • Explore digital advancement and opportunities to streamline processes and enhance optimization.
