In the role of Personal Systems Management Team Lead, we'll count on you to:
  • Support global management systems that provide OS and application patching for Workstations and Servers, Monitoring and Alerting on all production Windows and Linux servers and storage systems
  • Apply technology to address business needs and constraints
  • Provide leadership to the team verbally, written, and by example
  • Be ready to take on management responsibilities as needed
  • Assist staff to achieve efficient and effective use of computing technology and maximize utilization of computer resources
  • Combine a breadth of IT experience with an overriding concern and urgency for excellent customer service
  • Serve as an example to junior staff when it comes to complicated technical issues
  • Participate in enterprise-wide IT projects and initiatives
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level diagnostics for operating systems hardware, software, and operator problems
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting on complicated IT issues
  • Responsible for providing creative solutions to complex technical problems
  • Areas of focus that also include evaluating technologies and application support and monitoring, maintenance, incident management, change management, problem management, and capacity management, as well as providing guidance on improving and automating the current existing processes
  • Will be required to work with Systems Administrators in performing IT infrastructure processes and procedures as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • This position will require 15% travel for scheduled activities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the A&E industry
  • Knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, ProjectWise and/or GIS
  • Knowledge of the System Center Management Suite
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/MIS-related area or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 9 years' of experience in technical support of PC, networks and servers
  • Excellent working knowledge of personal computer and peripherals
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform assigned administration tasks with no supervision
  • Be a mentor to the junior members of the team
  • Attitude and commitment to be an active participant of our employee-owned culture
  • Be a subject matter expert in at least 3 areas of the teams' scope of responsibility
  • Course work in Computer Science/MIS-related area or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Experience in systems operations and maintenance
  • Expert knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to understand client business needs and effectively match client business needs to technology solutions
