Schedule: Per Diem, Remote

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Research Coordinator II (CRC II) will perform research activities and activities related to local and multi-site clinical and population health research projects. Duties will include coordination of research/project activities, screening and recruitment of subjects, data abstraction, maintenance of data bases, administrative tasks, assistance in grant reports and preparation, and assistance with oral presentations, scientific and project posters, abstracts and manuscripts. Must be able to work independently and make sound judgment with study protocols, data evaluation, and recruitment strategies. Prepares and presents data reports and oversees work of research assistants as appropriate.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Evaluating and tracking the eligibility of all patients seen in the clinic.
  • Obtaining informed consent (for non-treatment studies) and registering patients to cohort studies and other protocols.
  • Reviewing and abstracting the medical records for patients, including review of pathology reports. Accessing patient demographic and clinical information from the clinical systems.


  • Reviewing data for quality and completeness based on established queries.
  • Assists with the coordination of the collection, processing, organization, and storage of biological specimens in the systems
  • May be responsible for IRB and regulatory submissions and maintenance of regulatory files

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


  • Baccalaureate Degree Required
  • Master's Degree preferred OR
  • 2-5 years experience
  • Special Intermittent Project Responsibilities (2-5/years)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:


  • Excellent organization and communications skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and externals contacts.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to follow-through.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload. Must practice discretion and adhere to hospital confidentiality guidelines at all times.
  • Must have computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite


    This position is grant funded through 5/31/2027. There may be opportunity beyond this grant funding for position integration into ongoing operations.
