Qualifications The Substation Technician will perform electrical construction, maintenance or repair work on the Company's system including substations and power plant switchyards. There are three levels of this job. Under close supervision, assists Levels II, III, and Senior Substation Technician. With experience and under direct supervisor, works where the tasks is confined to the de-energized or energized not over 250 volt conductor equipment. Entry Level High School Diploma or the equivalent and a valid CDL driver's license with a tanker endorsement within 8 months of becoming a Substation Electrician. PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS Candidate must successfully complete the physical abilities test as well as the Substation Technician Job Sampling Assessment.

Fully Qualified A minimum of six years experience performing work on electrical substation and switchyard facilities as a Substation Technician Level I, II and III or the equivalent, and demonstrate the ability to perform the tasks of the job. Must successfully complete the Company's Substation Technician training program and continue to pass job related skills verification. This position requires cyber or physical access to designated secured areas. Employees who career preference for this position must successfully pass a background check in order to be awarded the position. |
