Position Description

The Regional Repair Center Technician will maintain, repair and support instruments.

- Meet service targets and KPI's in relation with maintaining high customer satisfaction

- Maintain, repair and support instruments

- Take responsibility for the whole repair / check process from stock-receipt until good issue

- Work according to TQM/FDA rules and follow TQM/FDA processes and SOP's

- Utilize the relevant database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness

- Utilize all available tools such as Service Reporting, Spare Part & Service Manuals, ISI Notes, etc.

- Give active feedback to the team/management

- Manage effective available time and resources

- Represent QIAGEN Repair Center as a high quality customer satisfaction department

- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel occasionally


Position Requirements

- Preferably technical education in Electronics/Mechanics, preferable Automation or Medical Diagnostic devices

- 1 to 3 years service and support experience in a comparable position within the after sales service business, preferable in the Life Science/Medical Diagnostics industry/markets, or equivalent experience maintaining instrumentation in the Life Science/Medical Diagnostics fields

- Good computer skills such as MS Office knowledge

- Experience maintaining instrumentation in the Life Science/Medical Diagnostics fields


Personal Requirements

- Written and verbal English language communication skills

- Good interpersonal skills

- Ability to work both independently and in a structured working environment

- Minimal travel required (up to 10%)

- Ability to lift ~50lb or 25kgs.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $64,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a bonus plan, overtime potential, and generous benefits.
