At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

Performs welding processes on aluminum, steel, and alloy parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys and precision blending using hand tools to prepare metallic surfaces for welding and non-destructive evaluation. Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures. Joins metal parts to form a permanent bond. Welds metal components and parts using standard specialized equipment such as gas welders and gas torches and may also utilize friction stir welding (FSW) methods using solid-state joining. Uses electrical currents or friction to create heat and bond metals. Observes tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications. Set up and operate large, motion-controlled machines to create friction stir welds on launch vehicles. Perform periodic maintenance on machines with complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches.

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of experts, you will manufacture and assemble large-scale hardware for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of transforming the way rockets are made and operated. If you share our passions and vision, thrive in a dynamic startup environment, excel on integrated cross-functional teams, are experienced and skilled in several relevant technologies (even if perhaps not in the aerospace industry), continuously seek out opportunities to learn and improve, enjoy occasional travel, and do not allow title or job description to limit the depth or breadth of your contributions, then we would love to hear from you.

Our team is in the process of transitioning from development to production while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. We are looking to build a road to space to enable a future where millions of people are living and working in space to benefit Earth.

This is a frontline, hands-on hardware, tank production, and assembly technician role. We are looking for technicians to operate various robotic equipment, perform overhead crane moves of tooling and flight hardware, conduct manual blending operations, operate fixture tooling, and execute precision drilling for internal tank installations.
