Job Description

General Summary:

The ATC Strategy and Operations Associate Director will deliver a strategic vision for Vertex - authorized treatment center (ATC) activation, specifically supporting Vertex's first genetic therapy commercial launch. The Associate Director would oversee continuous activation including supporting ATC facing conversations (customer facing conversations), as well as serve as a repository for best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement recommendations.

Location: Boston, MA (3 days onsite, 2 days remote weekly)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Co-leads the ATC activation process plan with global, understands roles and responsibilities across functions, and coordinates across teams to ensure efficient and rapid delivery

  • Leads the development of cross-functional, compliant U.S. field team direction on engagement (both with centers and across functional teams)

  • Collaborates with external agency and internal Legal, Medical, and Regulatory partners to deliver marketing/sales-specific activation tactics

  • Collaborates closely with the Heme Program Manager to ensure all ATC activation deliverables are captured and kept up-to-date in the commercial launch tracker

  • Serves as critical liaison between Marketing and multiple field teams

  • Up to 30% Travel

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Analytical mindset, with demonstrated ability to develop strategy, make strategic recommendations, monitor performance, understand ROI and allocate resources

  • Highly skilled in influencing cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders with the interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and succeed in a highly matrixed environment

  • Deep understanding of Hospital Operations

  • Experience in marketing, analytics, or implementation.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage initiatives that require collaboration across multiple functional areas.

  • Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.

  • Strong written communication skills, presentation delivery, and interpersonal skills to be effective in a team environment.

  • Compliance mindset and demonstrated integrity on the job.

  • Proven ability to be productive and successful in a fast-paced work environment including managing multiple competing priorities

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Typically requires 8+ years marketing or customer facing/implementation experience in healthcare/pharmaceuticals/consulting or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Range:

$165,040 - $247,560

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
