HX5 is currently seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the implementation of contract-wide management of CM processes, process improvements, and
integration of Change & Configuration Management. - Be responsible for performing audits of task order CM programs.
- Conduct gap analysis of CM processes and analyze audit findings.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of the CM items in the program backlog.
- Provide daily/frequent updates to assigned work following the team's task management approach.
- Assist with development of audit process for task order CM programs.
- Assist with development of audit metrics.
- Report audit findings/metrics to team leadership.
- Provide guidance, governance and apply best industry standards to ensure CM rigor and the compliance of Enterprise
- CM processes in accordance with the EIA-649C Industry Standard for Configuration Management.
- Identify challenges, create strategies, metrics and courses of action and execute them for a more mature and robust CM
program for our customers and the MDA mission. - Development and implementation of organizational CM plans, policies, and procedures.
- Provide collaboration, integration and support of all CM teams across the Enterprise.
- Collaborate with fellow Enterprise CM Analysts to refine focus and provide additional support for high priority projects and
taskers. - Synchronize and align CM efforts with Mission Assurance, Quality Assurance, Enterprise Architecture, and Systems
- Engineering.
- Maintain CM documentation (e.g., Organizational drawings, CM Plan, CM procedures, Standard Operating Procedures)
and conduct reviews and updates as necessary. - Maintain and improve CM training.
- Ensure the identification, status, and closure of action items and lessons learned.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues effectively to a
variety of stakeholders. - Have excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Display positive team working skills and the ability to coordinate meetings and working groups
Salary: This position is expected to pay $55,000 - $80,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certificationsthat are directly related to the position.
Education and Experience:
- Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- HS Diploma (or GED) and eight (8) years of general experience;
- Associate's degree and six (6) years of general experience;
- Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of general experience;
- Master's degree and two (2) years of general experience.
- Must have four (4) years of directly related experience.
- Must be proficient in MS Office suites
Desired Requirements:
- Be proficient in BMC Remedy Suite
- ITIL Certification
- Be a team player with proven ability to recommend and accept buy-in from various stakeholders regarding challenges,
integration and process improvement. - Be able to rapidly adjust to changing requirements and refocus efforts to meet requirements.
- Have excellent communications, collaboration and integrations skills.
- Have experience with Enterprise IT Service Management and/or Change Management
- Have experience with MDA, Space Domain, and/or IT Operations
- Have experience with Engineering and Technical Review Boards and Change Approval Boards
- Be familiar with EIA-649C Configuration Management Standards
- Have experience with drafting and reviewing plans, procedures, work instructions
- Have experience with working on Hardware Asset Management, Lifecycle Management (cradle to grave)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
- Must have a valid Drivers License.
