You Are:

You are an experienced and driven P&L Financial Analyst ready to join our BU FP&A team. You bring a wealth of knowledge in financial analysis and a passion for driving business performance. Your analytical mind and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights are unmatched. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes. Your strong communication skills allow you to partner effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. You are proficient in using data analytics tools like MS Power BI and Tableau to drive efficiencies and make informed decisions. Above all, you are committed to delivering high-quality results and have a deep intellectual curiosity for continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform analysis on P&L results in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Business Operations to deliver business insights and synthesize trends in support of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
  • Explore and drive margin improvement ideas in partnership with Business and Manufacturing Operations on portfolio optimization, inventory, and cost efficiencies.
  • Establish benchmarks to assess the performance of product/project investment and recommend actions.
  • Engage on profitability improvement initiatives during new product introduction phases.
  • Maintain ownership of BU P&L and inventory models; collaborate across BU teams to evolve models to include automation through data analytics tools for efficiency.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to influence and drive change within the organization.

What You'll Need:

  • BA or MBA in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related fields with relevant finance experience in the semiconductor, software, or technology industries.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, including managing costs and driving inventory improvements.
  • Proficiency with large data sets and analytic tools such as MS Power BI and Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills to partner with and influence senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and work effectively with others to solve problems.

The Team You'll Be A Part Of:

You will be a vital member of the BU FP&A team, which provides decision support for the General Manager of the business, consults on strategic initiatives, and owns the development of P&L forecasts. Our team collaborates closely with Engineering, Sales, Business Operations, Manufacturing, and Corporate Finance teams to drive business performance and deliver insights that shape the future of Synopsys.
