Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Responsibilities Under general supervision of department leadership, this position is responsible for the overall command and leadership of a shift work-group within the department. Provides mentorship, guidance and front line supervision to Public Safety Officers, including Sworn Personnel, in the performance of all duties and responsibilities related to the day-to-day protection and security of Southcoast Health System (SHS) and Southcoast Hospitals Group (SHG) assets and information as well as the safety of all persons on hospital/SHS property. Also responsible for basic healthcare public safety duties, as well as enforcement of the Criminal Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Special State Police Officer under MGL 22C-63 or New Bedford Special Police Officer. This position could have additional responsibilities assigned at the direction of the Operations Manager and Executive Director of Public Safety & Emergency Management. May require rotation to other hospital sites as needed. Qualifications
